Taylor Swift will embark on a tour in support of her Reputation album ... but fans are going to have to earn their way in. In an effort to fight scalpers, Swift is working with Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program as she puts tickets on sale for her upcoming trek.

Swift announced her tour late Thursday night (Aug. 24), at the same time she dropped her brand-new single, "Look What You Made Me Do." When fans went to find info on the trek, they were greeted with a prompt to sign up with Ticketmaster.

“Taylor Swift is committed to getting tickets into the hands of fans … NOT scalpers or bots. So she’s collaborating with Ticketmaster #VerifiedFan to create an exclusive program to help you get the best access in North America, in a really fun way," a message on the page reads. "Once you register, improve your place in line by participating in boost activities until initial registration closes on Nov. 28. To begin, accept the terms and conditions and sign in with your Ticketmaster account.”

Once users sign up or log in, they can select a city from a list of more than two dozen cities; they can also select a number of tickets (the maximum allowed is four) and if handicapped seating is necessary. From there, fans will be able to participate in "boost activities" until that Nov. 28 deadline, at which point fans' spots in a virtual line are locked; activities to improve your spot in that virtual line include pre-ordering Swift's new album, watching her new lyric video and purchasing merch.

Further details about Swift's upcoming tour will be announced at a later date. Reputation, her new album, is due out on Nov. 10.
