Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush will take the stage at the 2011 CMT Music Awards tonight (June 8) for a special cause. During their performance of 'Stand Up,' the duo will reunite the Gilbert family of Joplin, Mo., who lost their home to a tornado May 22.

Husband and wife, Eric and Amy Gilbert have been living with friends and working to rebuild their life since the devastation. As a result, they haven't been able to spend more than a few hours at a time with their two daughters, who are staying with relatives a few hours away.

Once family's situation came to the attention of the Sugarland and the network, plans to feature the Gilbert's were soon underway. All parties hope the spotlight will create awareness and raise funds for the hundreds of thousands of families affected by the recent storms, flooding and tornadoes in the South and Midwest.

Additionally, the 'Stuck Like Glue' singers recently released a live version of 'Stand Up,' featuring tourmates Little Big Town, to iTunes. Proceeds from the download will benefit the American Red Cross for tornado relief in Alabama and Missouri.

Fans can donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts here, by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or by texting 'REDCROSS' to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

The 2011 CMT Music Awards air live tonight (June 8) at 8:00 PM ET/PT on the network and CMT.com.
