Sturgill Simpson has released his new song, 'Life of Sin,' with a video of him playing the tune at RCA's Studio A.

The historic studio in Nashville has seen a long list of legendary and contemporary performers, including Lyle LovettRonnie MilsapWillie Nelson, the Oak Ridge BoysVince GillFaith HillAlan JacksonJosh TurnerCarrie UnderwoodLee Ann WomackHank Williams, Jr.Lady AntebellumMiranda LambertKacey Musgraves and the Beach Boys.

"I wanted to capture a more reflective, softer, intimate side of the song," Simpson tells Rolling Stone Country about 'Life of Sin.' "I'm not sure how much of that was the influence of the room or my own short attention span. I think it fleshed out a lot of my obsession with all the late '60s Marty Robbins and Merle and the Strangers albums I love so much."

After a fight to preserve Studio A by Ben Folds, who has had recording space there for 12 years, the studio was controversially sold to Bravo Development in July for $4.075 billion. Folds recently announced that he would be vacating the building at the end of his lease in November due to a rise in rent of 124 percent.
