Jake Owen's debut album, Startin' With Me, includes a song called "Something About a Woman." Co-written by Owen, Bob Regan and Jimmy Ritchey, the tune was released in August of 2007 as the artist's third and final single from his debut project and earned a Top 20 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (No. 15). Below, Owen tells The Boot about how spying on his girlfriend while she was applying suntan lotion during a beach trip inspired the song.

I think that was the first time in my life, just by looking at a woman ... that's when I first really went from a guy who just liked girls to really seeing what it was that makes you respect and see the beauty of a woman. And that's what this song's all about: It's about the beauty and that something that women possess that drives us boys crazy.
