Ontario-born Stevie Jewel describes herself as "Katy Perry meets country with a twist of Southern rock," and her new song "Off the Market" fits that description well. The singer-songwriter is exclusively premiering the upbeat and sassy track with The Boot prior to its release on Friday (April 22).

The song -- which Jewel's Canadian fans got to hear first -- packs a high-energy punch from the very first beat. Jewel's delivery is playful, and the song is full of cheeky lyrics: "I've had my eye on you since you walked into this place / I see you staring my way with that pretty-boy face / Come over here, baby, tell me all about yourself / You check every box of my list, and I can't help myself," she sings.

In "Off the Market," Jewel promises to "Take you off the market / Make you mine exclusively / Take you off the market / Write ourselves a new story." Press play below to hear the full song.

Readers may not be familiar with Jewel, but she's got quite the resume: The artist was nominated for a Grammy before she turned 20, and she's performed at the White House, the Canadian Country Music Awards and all over the U.S. Jewel is currently based in Nashville: She's finishing her last year of school at Belmont University, from which Brad Paisley, Florida Georgia Line and many others have graduated, but even while she's completing schoolwork, Jewel's focused on pushing her country career forward. She's currently collaborating with Music City writers and producers, and she's readying for a U.K. summer tour.

"Take You Off the Market" is available for pre-order on iTunes. If you want to see where Jewel's tour will lead her this summer, check her website for tour dates and more information.
