The Cadillac Three played a sold-out show in Nashville on Saturday night (Sept. 19), and much to fans' delight, rocker Steven Tyler showed up for the encore.

Jaren Johnston, Neil Mason and Kelby Ray rocked Music City's Cannery Ballroom, and at the end of their set, Tyler joined the trio for a rendition of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion." In the introduction of their surprise guest, Johnston called Tyler "the reason we are in a band and the reason we started playing music."

At the words, "I want to introduce you to my friend, Mr. Steven Tyler," the crowd went wild.

“Having our fans and the place we grew up party, dance and get loud, man, was everything to us,” Johnston recalls. “And, seriously, to have one of our biggest idols, and now friend, sing with us, we definitely couldn’t dreamed this up when we started this crazy journey.”

The Cadillac Three released their newest single, "White Lightning," in the spring, and revealed the corresponding music video in June. The band says that their upcoming record is almost complete.

“We’re almost done. We don’t have a date yet,” Johnston says. “It’s right in the middle of the songwriting side of both ends of the spectrum. "Party Like You" and "White Lightning" are a good mix of what it’s all gonna be.”
