Steve Holy is back at radio with his first new music in five years. His latest single, 'Love Don't Run,' was written by Joe Leathers, Rachel Thibodeau and Ben Glover, and is the debut release from Steve's upcoming album, expected out later this year. (Listen to the song below.)

"When I heard 'Good Morning Beautiful' for the first time I really felt it was a smash," Steve tells The Boot. "When I heard 'Love Don't Run' for the first time, the lyrics really got to me and I felt the same way I did when I first heard 'Good Morning Beautiful.' I took that as a good sign."

That's saying something, since 'Good Morning Beautiful,' which appeared on the Texan's debut album 'Blue Moon,' spent five straight atop the charts in 2002. It also came in at No. 10 on Billboard's Top Country Songs of the Decade 1999-2009.

Steve's last album 'Brand New Girlfriend,' was released in 2006 and spawned his second No. 1 single with its title track.

While he's currently in the studio with producer Lee Miller putting the finishing touches on the new record, Steve is taking breaks to perform across the country. He can be seen next March 15 in Omaha, Neb. and March 16 in Clive, Iowa. See his tour schedule here.
