Steve Earle has released an unofficial video of a new song, 'You're the Best Lover That I Ever Had,' recorded simply on someone's front porch.

"Hey, baby, whisper in my ear / Way up close so I can hear," Earle sings while picking out a blues-y melody on an acoustic guitar. "Hey, baby, when you call my name / The heavens shake, and the angels sing."

The tune comes off of Earle's upcoming album, 'Terraplane,' which is set for release via New West Records on Feb. 17. The 11-track, blues-oriented record draws from material Earle wrote while on tour in Europe.

“For my part, I’ve only ever believed two things about the blues,” Earle says. “One, that they are very democratic, the commonest of human experience, perhaps the only thing that we all truly share, and two, that one day, when it was time, I would make this record.”

'Terraplane' is available for pre-order on Amazon and via New West Records.
