A guitar signed by more than 70 country stars and performers earned big money to help the children of St. Jude this holiday season.

Darius Rucker, Taylor Swift, Eric Church and Sheryl Crow are just a few of the many prominent artists who stopped by to visit with our partner site, Taste of Country, at the 2013 CMA Awards, where they also took a minute to add their names to an Epiphone acoustic. The one-of-a-kind guitar ended up reading like a phone book of contemporary and classic country stars, and it was offered for auction online to the highest bidder, with the proceeds of the auction going to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

In the end, the guitar fetched $6200, which will go to help St. Jude fight all manner of childhood illness.

The hospital is recognized worldwide as one of the leading facilities for caring for children with life-threatening diseases, both in treatment, and in research that can help lead to prevention. As part of St. Jude's mission, no family ever pays for anything while under the hospital's care.
