Rumors are swirling that Shania Twain is joining the upcoming cast of 'Dancing With the Stars.' Although the songstress has not confirmed the news, she did say she'd be open to the possibility.

“I’d consider it!” Twain said in a recent Facebook chat. Stoking the rumor mill even more is a report from Hollywood Life, which says that she is a strong contender for Season 19 of the series.

“Those at DWTS are very confident that Shania Twain will join the show in its next season,” an unnamed source claims. “She is very, very, very close to signing on the show.”

Regardless of whether the 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman' singer trades in the microphone for a dance floor, she hints she is ready to return to another spotlight, after headlining her own show at Caesar's Palace since 2012.

“I think I’m going to do more,” she maintains. “I guess it’s just something I’m enjoying more now than I have in a long time. Vegas has been a really good transition for me to get back onstage again, and I guess I’m enjoying it.”

Twain also adds that fans can expect a new album from her, which will be her first set of new songs since 2002's multi-platinum 'Up!'

“It’s my priority this year and I will be in the studio as soon as I can get in, get my ducks in a row -- I’m working on it all the time right now,” she reveals. “I’ve been writing for it for a long time now, I’ve got lots of things so it’s really about putting the puzzle together now.”

Twain's final show in Las Vegas will occur on July 26. Remaining tickets are available here.
