Scotty McCreery has announced the initial dates for a headlining tour in support of his sophomore album, 'See You Tonight.' The young star will embark on the See You Tonight Tour in January of 2014.

The tour will feature the live debut of songs from 'See You Tonight,' which reached No. 1 in the Billboard Country Albums chart and has earned strong reviews since it was released in October. McCreery co-wrote five songs on the new project, including the title song and first single, 'See You Tonight.'

The first run of shows announced Monday (Nov. 25) includes stops in Kentucky, Virginia, Texas and McCreery's native North Carolina. The 'American Idol' Season 10 winner is especially excited about a tour stop in Nashville, where he will headline the historic Ryman Auditorium for the first time on Feb. 18.

"It has been a dream of mine to play the Ryman," he says. "It is the mother church of country music and it is a true honor."

More dates are still to be announced. Tour updates will be posted to McCreery's website.  The tour is projected to make stops all over the US, and McCreery is also mulling the possibility of touring overseas.
