Scotty McCreery Shares His Christmas Favorites

Scotty McCreery likes to take it easy during the holidays. In a new interview, the young star shares his favorite things about Christmas -- a list that includes the simple joys of the season.

The 'See You Tonight' singer is taking a break from his studies at North Carolina State University and his busy music career for some time with his loved ones this season, and it's no surprise that family figures into his list, along with food, gifts -- giving and receiving -- and, of course, music.

"I don't know if that would be No. 5, or like, No. 2," McCreery admits after listing Christmas music as one of his seasonal favorites. "It's one of them. Christmas music is awesome."

That's no surprise to McCreery's fans. The 20-year-old released his first Christmas album, 'Christmas With Scotty McCreery,' last year, despite some hesitation on the part of his label, who felt it might be too early in his career for such a move. It paid off with a Gold album, and he has plenty of reasons to celebrate this Christmas, too -- his sophomore album, 'See You Tonight,' has been well-received both critically and commercially, and he is set to embark on a tour to support it in January.
