Scotty McCreery Takes Breakthrough Artist Honors at the 2013 American Country Awards

Scotty McCreery won the American Country Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year on Tuesday night (Dec. 10).

"Thank you so much. First and foremost, I've got to thank my fans," the former 'American Idol' champ said. "I tell everybody in the world, I've got the best fans in the world. You all have been with me since day one. Thank you all so much. Country radio, for giving me a chance ... And last but not least, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for letting me do this."

McCreery's latest album, 'See You Tonight' soared to the top of the charts when it was released in October. The album's title track is currently in the Top 30 and climbing.
