Sam Hunt's debut album isn't due in stores until October, but the singer will release a four-song EP, 'X2C,' in advance of the record later this month.

'X2C' includes Hunt's debut single, 'Leave the Night On,' which has sold more than 197,000 copies since it was released in June. The Tennessee native co-wrote all four songs on the EP, collaborating with several hit tunesmiths, including Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Matt Ramsey and Jerry Flowers.

“I didn’t really know you could make a living in songwriting; I was just very fortunate to have the opportunity to play a few songs for a guy there named Jimmy Ritchey,” he notes. “Through that meeting, I met another couple guys and ended up getting a publishing deal in Nashville.”

In addition to his own project, Hunt has written songs for Keith Urban and Billy Currington, among others.

Hunt will hit the road as the opening act for Kip Moore on his upcoming CMT on Tour: Up in Smoke in September. See the track listing for 'X2C' below.

'X2C' will be available for purchase on Aug. 12.
