Country music will be represented proudly during the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, with Rodney Atkins and Scotty McCreery set to perform during America's favorite holiday tradition. The singers will each perform atop a float on what will be the 85th anniversary of the historic event.

"I am so excited this year getting to play the 85th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," Rodney shares. "Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up, turn on the TV and watch the parade, so to be an actual participant is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear, though, to stay warm!"

Rodney will no doubt perform his latest No. 1 single, 'Take a Back Road,' as well new songs from the album of the same name. Speaking on his latest studio album, Rodney tells The Boot, "This album is different in that it's got more edge on it. It's a more soulful album."

Scotty spent two straight weeks atop the country albums chart with 'Clear as Day,' debuting strong with more than 197,000 copies sold during the first week of sales. The 'American Idol' winner is currently scaling the charts with 'The Trouble With Girls,' the follow-up to his Top 15 hit, 'I Love You This Big.'

Joining the country stars in New York for the parade will be R&B singer Mary J. Blige and pop stars Neil Diamond, Avril Lavigne, Cee Lo Green, Cobra Starship and Daniel Radcliffe with the Broadway cast of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'

Tune in to NBC on Nov. 24 at 9:00 AM to catch Rodney, Scotty and their fellow performers join an eclectic group of whimsical characters, marching bands, performance groups and Santa Claus himself for the official kick-off to the Christmas season!
