Ricky Skaggs + Bruce Hornsby to Perform on ‘Conan’

Country legend Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby will be appearing on 'Conan' Oct. 17 to promote their new album, ‘Cluck Ol’ Hen.’ The duo will perform the bluegrass version of Hornsby’s ‘The Way It Is,’ which appears on the album.

‘Cluck Ol' Hen,’ which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Music chart, is a collection of live performances recorded when Skaggs and Hornsby toured together.

“We recorded quite a few of the live performances from our tour and came up with a really great CD,” Skaggs says of the album. “It’s a great merging of two different styles. Listening to this live CD just reminded me of how much fun we had touring together. Every show was a gift.”

Skaggs and Hornsby are currently on the road again in support of ‘Cluck Ol' Hen,’ the product of a collaboration that Hornsby says he is proud of.

“I consider the long-time association with Ricky to be the deepest and most satisfying collaboration of them all,” he observes. “Hopefully this record captures the sound of a bunch of guys having a great time playing music together. That’s what it sounds like to me.”
