Ricky Gunn has released the video for his debut single, 'King of This Town.' The song is the title track of his freshman album, which will be released on New Canvas Entertainment.

“This album is nothing but heartfelt ambitions and my life all rolled up into one hell of ride," Gunn says. “Every song on there goes back to a memory that I've had or an experience that I've gone through. I wanted it to sound real, because if you've been living the life you're supposed to be living, the real stuff is gonna be the good stuff."

The singer-songwriter says the new set of tunes draws on his love for the current sound of country music, along with the influences of iconic artists like Hank Williams, Conway Twitty and Waylon Jennings, among others.

“I really just dig the vibe [of older country music]," Gunn tells The Boot. "It was more of a storytelling genre back then, I think, than it is today.

"I kinda just wanted to, on my record, go back and do what they kinda did back then," he adds, "and wanted to let each song tell a unique part of a story and part of my life.”

'King of This Town' will be available on April 21. Download the single here.
