With 56 million albums sold around the world, fiery talent and a track record of selling more tickets than any other female performer, Country Music Hall of Famer Reba McEntire will fittingly receive the first-ever NASH Icon Award at the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards.

McEntire is, of course, thrilled to be getting the award, telling Country Weekly, “As a singer, a person in the music business, ‘icon’ means somebody that I look up to. A person that has put in their time and energy and worked hard to get to where they are today.”

McEntire's longtime friend Kix Brooks will present the trophy. The sassy singer will also be honored with tributes from her pal Miranda Lambert and daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson, who will be performing some of McEntire's classic hits.

"Besides being one of the classiest people to ever grace Nashville, Tenn., Reba has not just done it her way, but she’s gotten all of her recognition the old-fashioned way. She’s earned it," Brooks says. "Besides being a talented actor and host, she is seriously one of the best singers I've ever heard. Reba sings with her head, her heart and that amazing voice. She’s a treasure Nashville should forever be grateful for."

The Grammy winner has been part of many recent exciting happenings in country music, including her signing with Nash Icon Music, a joint label venture between Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus. She's also working on a new studio album.

The 2014 ACC Awards will air Monday, Dec. 15, at 8PM ET on Fox. Florida Georgia Line will host the show.
