Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn delighted fans at the 2015 CMA Awards with a performance of McEntire's "Why Haven't I Heard From You," which then rolled into Brooks & Dunn's "Play Something Country."

As soon as McEntire stepped out onto the CMA stage, the crowd was on their feet and enthusiastically singing along to every word. The country icon's red hair stood out against her blue sequined top, and Brooks & Dunn looked like a force not to mess with in all black.

McEntire, Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks are seasoned at sharing the stage together: They announced their Las Vegas residencyReba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas last year; it began in June. Demand was so high that the three artists added dates to their run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace not once, but twice.

The Vegas dates were the first shows that Brooks & Dunn had played together since they retired from performing as a duo in 2010.

“I mean, this is a huge responsibility,” McEntire says of sharing the stage with her longtime friends. “It’s a huge building, lots of seats out there. I think it’s a big load off my mind to have these guys with me, and visa versa.”

Brooks and Dunn have also spoken about the excitement for their Vegas residency and how it provided a smooth transition into performing again.

“Honestly, it’s funny. I think one of the real rewards for doing this is, not a day goes by where somebody in a very emotional way says, why don’t y’all get back together?” they say. “To be able to go, ‘We are, we’re going to be in Las Vegas next summer,’ it’s a relief to have a decent answer. It’s a soft landing and a soft takeoff.”
