Ray Stevens Breaks Ground on New Music Venue
Ray Stevens will soon have his very own music venue in West Nashville. On March 7, Stevens broke ground on CabaRay.
Stevens is developing CabaRay, a 27,000-square-foot music venue, in conjunction with Parkes Construction Co., which is handling construction of the building. Located on River Road in West Nashville, CabaRay will hold 700 seats and include a showroom area, dining area, full-service kitchen and multiple bars. It is set to open early in 2017.
"CabaRay is going to be a great venue for live music and good food," Stevens says in a press release. "You'll be able to sit down for large, big-band concerts and enjoy a steak at the same time."
Steven will also move his Ray Stevens Music offices from Music Row to CabaRay and will maintain a presence at the venue.
"I'll be doing shows at the CabaRay, of course, but we'll also be booking other name acts," he explains. "I think this is going to be a great hot spot for tourists visiting Nashville."
