Rascal Flatts has struck gold again! The award-winning trio, comprised of Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus, have earned gold certification, signifying sales of more than half a million, for their latest CD, Changed. The guys hope it's an indicator of how the next phase of their career will go.

"I can't think of a better title for this record than Changed, because it's the perfect way to usher in the next 10 years of Rascal Flatts," Jay tells The Boot. "When you get to a certain point in your career, it's easy to just phone it in, to get complacent. If you're not careful, you can stop challenging yourself. We all made that commitment to keep pushing ourselves towards excellence, and I believe you can tell that there is marked growth and improvement on this album."

"It was a great title," Gary notes. "Everything in our career has changed. We switched record labels. Last year, we switched management companies. A lot of things have changed in the last 10 years. We thought it summed up everything."

Rascal Flatts are making plenty of changes in their career as well. They recently announced plans to open a steakhouse, plus launch a fragrance line and to oversee their own line of clothing.

The guys will hit the road for their Changed tour beginning June 15 in Hartford, Conn., with Little Big Town, the Eli Young Band, Edens Edge and Thompson Square all serving as opening acts. Keep track of their tour schedule here.
