Rascal Flatts Perform Acoustic Version of ‘Rewind’

Rascal Flatts have just released a very special acoustic performance of their latest single, 'Rewind.'

The song is the title track of their new album, which just released Tuesday (May 13). The hit making trio stopped by Southern Ground Studios in Nashville to record the song as part of an acoustic set for our partner site, Taste of Country, for their 'Off the Record' series.

The group worked with producer Howard Benson for 'Rewind,' which is their ninth studio album. The new project features a somewhat stripped-down approach as compared to their past studio efforts.

“We felt like it was important for us this time, after we got together and talked, to sit down and challenge ourselves musically,” Jay DeMarcus says. “I don’t feel like anybody knows us better than we know ourselves. So why not go in [the studio], experiment and figure out, more importantly, what not to do, as well as what to do.”

The acoustic performance above provides an even better showcase for the trio's pristine vocal harmonies, and it's interesting to see them work so closely in a more intimate setting than a concert arena.
