Randy Rogers and his family have suffered a devastating loss: Newborn daughter Rumer Rain has passed away.

"Rumer passed away last night (June 9). She died after a week-long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain," Rogers tells Houston radio station 93Q. "She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick.

"I'm sure you all have many questions, and we have all the answers the doctors gave us," he continues. "We can share the story with you. It's quite an extraordinary one."

On the Randy Rogers Band's Facebook page, a statement confirms the news:

Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth. During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children's charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.

A tweet on the band's account adds that baby Rumer "was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms."

Rumer Rain Rogers was born on June 3 at 7:29AM, weighing 7 lbs. and 13 oz., and measuring 20 inches long.

"Everybody is happy and healthy!" Rogers shared on social media at the time.

Baby Rumer was the second child -- and second girl -- for Rogers and his wife, Chelsea Cai Dowlearn. Daughter River Rose was born in 2013.

The Randy Rogers Band have numerous upcoming dates on their tour calendar, including a stop at Country Jam 2015, which takes place in Grand Junction, Colo., on June 18-21. There is no word yet on if this shows will be affected by Rumer's death.

The Boot extends our deepest condolences to Rogers and his family and loved ones.
