Pistol Annies Gear Up for First Headlining Shows

December is shaping up to be a busy month for Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe of Pistol Annies. The talented trio will headline a string of shows, two of which will be held at the legendary House of Blues (at the Las Vegas and Los Angeles locations). The singers will also make an appearance at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace, a popular concert venue in the country music legend's hometown of Bakersfield, Calif.

"In the beginning, they'd bring the three mics out and the fans would be like, 'Huh?" Angaleena confesses to The Boot about the Pistol Annies spotlight during Miranda's solo sets. "Now they bring the mics out and the fans are going crazy, which is a great feeling!"

The talented trio have received critical praise for their debut album, 'Hell on Heels,' a balanced mixture of retro-traditional country and fresh, empowering songwriting. Miranda admits that the simple focus of the group is what unites the three contrasting members of the band.

"There's really two things we are about: being honest and being strong in your womanhood," says the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. "It's kind of the theme of what we are individually and what we are together."

The ladies of Pistol Annies will also make their awards ceremony debut next month, performing on the American Country Awards. The second annual event will be broadcast live from Las Vegas, Dec. 5 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. Click here for a full list of performers and nominees.
