Pistol Annie Ashley Monroe Marries Pitcher John Danks

Pistol Annies member Ashley Monroe married Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks in Tennessee on Thursday (Oct. 24).

The ceremony took place at Blackberry Farms, where Kelly Clarkson got married just last weekend.

"I married my best friend," the 27-year-old singer tells People magazine. "He has such a good heart."

The couple met through a mutual friend after Monroe's concert in Chicago in 2011.

Blake Shelton officiated the ceremony, and his wife, Monroe's Pistol Annies band mate Miranda Lambert, served as her maid of honor. "They're my dearest friends," Monroe noted. "And we wanted someone with personality to marry us!"

Monroe arrived at the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage. She wore a custom-made Haute Hippie gown, while Danks wore Armani. The bride gave props to Lambert, who also helped plan the wedding, earning the nickname "Plannie Annie."

"Miranda was the one who cared about all the details!" she shared. "It was magical."
