Parmalee have released the lyric video for their new single, 'Already Callin' You Mine.'

The lyrics tell the story of a new love that falls hard and fast, with the words written out on cans and in paint on a truck's windshield in the lyric video.

“It’s a song about that crucial moment when you change your Facebook status from ‘single’ to ‘in a relationship,'" says lead singer Matt Thomas. "It’s a total game changer."

The group's guitarist, Josh McSwain, tells People, "I think that every modern-day, newer relationship has had that argument ... 'Well, you haven't changed your status ...'"

Thomas co-wrote the song with Parmalee's bass player Barry Knox and songwriters Phil O'Donnell and Wade Kirby. Knox says that in the age of social networking, relationships have become even more complicated.

"It's definitely a lot more difficult now since Facebook has come out," he says. "Back in the day, when you met a girl, you had to wait three days before you called. Now you got to make sure you change your status on time, call and text at the right time ... this is getting too difficult."

'Already Callin' You Mine' follows up Parmalee's hit 'Close Your Eyes,' which went to No. 4 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart after its release in 2014. Both songs come off their debut album, 'Feels Like Carolina,' which is available on Amazon and iTunes.
