2012 NRA Celebrity Shoot Winners Include Craig Morgan, Blake Shelton, Aaron Lewis

It was a perfect day for being in the great outdoors Saturday (March 31) at the Desert Hills Shooting Club in Las Vegas. It was an even more perfect day for Craig Morgan, Blake Shelton and Aaron Lewis' team, which took the top prize at the second annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot. The 'Outdoor Channel's' Lee Lakosky (pictured right) left the event with the Top Shooter title, determined by a final shoot-out with Craig.

"The NRA Country represents what I am about," Craig told The Boot. "It's what I sing about. It's how I live my life. I'm happy to be here to participate in this great event and raise funds to help the military."

"I'm always happy to be part of something I believe in. This is my second year to participate in this event and I had a great time. Love that it benefits military charities too," Craig Campbell says.

This was the second year that NRA Country and the Academy of Country Music partnered for the event, which was hosted by Blake, the new ACM Male Vocalist of the Year. The sporting clays competition, emceed by GAC TV personality Storme Warren, is a two course, 10 station, 40 target competition for 20 teams of five shooters – including a celebrity captain. It's all part of 'The Week Vegas Goes Country,' which led up to the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night.

Lee Lakosky was awarded a Wayne LaPierre Signature Edition Shotgun as the top celebrity shooter. Craig came in as top scoring country artist for the day. Team Rivette Refuge Preserve, led by Craig and Aaron, took the top team honors. Each member was awarded a collector's edition Remington 1911 pistol inscribed with a one-of-a-kind NRA serial number for their win.

Lee Brice, two-time Super Bowl winning legend Dave Butz, Craig Campbell, Easton Corbin, Ira Dean, Edens Edge, The Band Perry's Neil and Reid Perry, Cowboy Troy, Outdoor Channel personalities Matt Duff, Tiffany Lakosky, Nick Mundt and Laura Schara, and TNA Impact Wrestling stars Jeff Hardy and James Storm, all took part in the celebrity shoot.

NRA Country has developed a bond between the country music community and Americans who share their same values. The partnership includes concerts and other events that benefit gun safety programs for kids, youth hunting and education programs, efforts to support the armed services, and other worthy causes.
