As we previously reported, Neal McCoy has been recording a new album with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert sitting in the producer's chair. Now the Texas native reveals he is already working on the video for the project's first single, 'A-OK.' The 53-year-old took to the streets of his hometown of Longview to film the video, using several local residents to star in the clip.

"I've been on the road a bunch this year, just like every year," he explains to KYTX-TV in Tyler, Texas. "We run a lot. Instead of taking more time away from my family, I said it'd be great if we could shoot this thing in Longview."

The tune marks the singer's first foray onto the charts since his 2006 Top 40 hit, 'Last of a Dying Breed.' But he says he's always known how to pick a hit single.

"Everybody wants to find that song that hits the sweet spot, which is pretty much them, but everybody else, too," he explains to CMT. "I think I finally found that song! I think any song that says, 'It's gonna be OK, it's gonna be all right' ... has got to be a winner. People really want to hear, and almost need to hear, that right now. Times being the way they are -- and something that makes people feel good? Well, anyone who knows me knows I'm all about that."

'A-OK' is the debut single from Neal's upcoming album, 'XII' on Blaster Records, which should hit shelves in 2012. Neal will kick off the new year by performing a series of shows in Canada. See his tour schedule here.
