Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert will appear on an upcoming episode of the hit TV drama, "Nashville." The two singers will make cameos as themselves, attending an elaborate party with Juliette Barnes (played by Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna James (Connie Britton), to celebrate the success of the women's new tune, "Wrong Song."

For Chris, it was an easy decision to carve time out of his schedule to film the episode. "I actually really like the show," he told The Boot and other reporters at a recent media event. "You always get nervous anytime somebody wants to do a show in your hometown, but I don't think that would change even if it wasn't a music town. Obviously being the home of country music, all of the people that are musicians are nervous ... I think if they did a show called 'Philadelphia,' anybody who lived in Philadelphia would be going, 'Oh my God, I hope they don't screw this up.' Being from Murfreesboro, basically the Nashville area, I love how they portray what the city looks like. I think they use some really great shots."

The singer-songwriter might even get to see some of his own tunes in the show someday. "I think they've found a way to have music, both original songs in the show that they've done, as well as showcase some of the other stuff that's popular and on the charts," he notes. "I liken it a little bit to the show, 'Dallas.' It's kind of soap opera-esque, but it's built around this industry."

"Nashville" airs on Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM ET on ABC. Chris and Brantley's episode will air on Jan. 23.
