Troy Gentry of country duo Montgomery Gentry has shared some tough news. His wife Angie has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The singer made the announcement on Facebook and shared that his wife is currently undergoing chemo treatments, and thankfully, her prognosis looks good.

The diagnosis came right before Gentry and duo partner Eddie Montgomery launched the Check Your Headlights campaign for breast cancer awareness in early October. And, as he admitted, it rocked their world -- as anyone with a family member or loved one with cancer has experienced.

When they announced the campaign, which corresponds with their single 'Headlights,' Gentry spoke about why the band was launching a breast cancer awareness project, saying, "It was just a no-brainer to put this bundle together to help bring awareness and help raise some money for a great cause through the American Cancer Society. Being married and having two daughters, breast cancer is something that's always in the back of your mind."

In addition to the campaign, Montgomery Gentry will play the annual Opry Goes Pink show at the Grand Ole Opry on Oct. 28.

Here's to a speedy and full recovery for Angie -- and best wishes to the entire Gentry family as they walk this difficult journey.
