Miss Willie Brown is calling it quits. The country duo, comprised of Amanda Watkins and Kasey Buckley, announced via a letter on their website Tuesday (April 16) that they're breaking up to pursue solo interests.

Amanda plans to continue her country career, "carrying on the heart and soul on which Miss Willie Brown was built." But Kasey is taking a break from music. Though the letter does not make clear what her next move will be, the Texas native was pursuing acting before she met Amanda while both were waiting tables in a Los Angeles diner. They began writing music together after work and realized they had something special, eventually scoring a record deal with A&M/Octone Records and a slot on Dierks Bentley's 2011 tour.

While Miss Willie Brown's full album never saw the light of day, they did release a five-track EP in 2010 and a four-track EP in 2011. Two songs were officially released to country radio, "Sick of Me" and "You're All That Matters to Me."
