If there was ever a song that related to Miranda Lambert's divorce from Blake Shelton, it may be Loretta Lynn's "Rated X," which Lambert performed at the 2015 ACM Honors ceremony.

Lambert, looking vibrant in a deep pink dress, launched into Lynn's sixth No. 1, much to the delight of attendees.

During her performance, Lambert appeared amused by the frank language which draws on a woman who finds freedom post divorce. “Well if you’ve been a married woman and things didn’t seem to work out / Divorce is the key to bein’ loose and free so you’re gonna be talked about," she sang with a wry smile and nod.

Lambert continued, "Everybody knows that you’ve loved once so they think you’ll love again / You can’t have a male friend when you’re a hasbeen or a woman that’s rated X.”

After her lively performance, Lambert presented Lynn with the Crystal Milestone Award. “Thank you, Miss Loretta, for that song, and being so brave, and paving the way for me to stand up here and sing a song like that. She sang songs that were not necessarily appropriate at times, like this for me. I'm so thankful for women empowerment," Lambert admitted, adding, “I’m glad to be here singing for my friend.”

The 83-year-old legend took the mic, joking, “I just thought I’d drop in to see if Miranda was keeping it country. I want to thank you all for the award, and I’ll be back next year for another one.”

Lambert will soon launch her 2015 Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour alongside tourmates RaeLynn, Ashley Monroe, Courtney Cole and Clare Dunn.
