Miranda Lambert Pregnant? Absolutely Not!

There was quite a stir on Twitter last night (Nov. 15) after Blake Shelton responded to a tweet from a fan asking if his wife, Miranda Lambert, was pregnant. The question was prompted by the current issue of Life & Style magazine, which features the pair on its cover with the text, “We’re having a baby!”

“Either that or Reese had my baby… I’m confused too!!” Blake responded after seeing the tabloid’s cover, which also spotlights actress Reese Witherspoon and a shot of her newborn son, Tennessee.

Miranda, however, had a different take on the scenario, writing, “Wow! I just read the headline! “we are having a baby” yay! @blakeshelton we’re getting a new puppy?:)”

The misleading headline — which links to an article about Blake playing with “The Voice” host Carson Daly’s baby daughter, but references the country couple’s desire to start a family “soon” — left followers unsatisfied by the crooner’s response.

One fan, anxious for an answer, was driven to post in all caps, “IS SHE PREGNANT?” Blake’s response? “I hope not.. She’s passed out with a bottle of Bacardi in her hands!!!” The Oklahoma native then went on to joke with another user, saying, “Look, I know I’ve gained some weight but the test was negative!!”

Miranda only had one more comment on the matter, confirming her husband’s adult beverage reference, posting, “Don’t believe everything you read! I’m having a big “randarita” right now In honor of the baby we are not yet having!”

You can expect Mrs. Shelton will be serving her signature ‘Randa-ritas this Thanksgiving. The couple will spend the holiday in Los Angeles, since Blake will be working on “The Voice.” The meal itself, though, will be pretty standard.

“We’re real traditional,” Miranda told Good Housekeeping. “Football, turkey, and stuffing. Blake’s mom makes ham and the best baked beans ever. My dad’s been deep-frying the turkey, which is sometimes wild turkey, because we hunt. I do the green bean casserole, with cream of mushroom soup and fried onions on the top, and a sweet potato casserole.”

Also, don’t forget to tune into Blake’s “Not So Family Christmas” special, which airs Dec. 3 on NBC.
