Miranda Lambert Cleared of Assault Charges
Miranda Lambert's name is cleared. The woman who accused the country singer of assaulting her at a nightclub in Tyler, Texas has been charged with filing a false police report. Aisha Esbay told police Lambert shoved her twice at the Bootleggers club during a CD release party for singer-songwriter Adam Hood.
Lambert was in town to host her first annual Cause for the Paws event to benefit the Humane Society of East Texas. She never publicly addressed the accusations, but her publicist claimed no knowlege of the alleged brawl. Lambert's accuser now faces a Class B misdemeanor charge that could result in jail time.
