With her millions of albums sold and numerous awards, Miranda Lambert is the envy of girls all over the country. But the songstress is the first to admit she isn't the ideal role model.

"I cuss and I drink and I have tattoos," Lambert concedes to Ladies Home Journal (quote via Fox News).

But one thing the 'Somethin' Bad' singer is proud to be known for is her advocacy in helping girls accept their body, regardless of their weight.

"When a girl comes up to me after a show and says, 'Thank you for being normal,' that's when I feel like I've done my job," she notes.

Lambert, who recently lost about 45 lbs., says she hopes she can continue to empower young women to be proud of themselves.

"I've had Moms who come up to me and say, 'Thanks for being a positive role model for my young girl,'" she tells HuffPost Live. "I may be the role model because I'm just always positive about body image. Just be who you are. It doesn't matter what size. It's all about who you are on the inside and what you stand for."

One attribute of the superstar that her young fans may not want to emulate is her body ink, which she says she did without parental approval.

"It's two Colt .45s and wings. I got it when I was 22, and it was the first thing I ever did without consulting my parents," she explains. "I didn't ask them because I didn't want their answer."

Lambert will show off her svelte new figure, and her tattoos, on her summer tour, which kicks off on July 10 in Ohio. See all of her upcoming concerts here.
