Miranda Lambert took the stage during the 2014 ACM Awards to perform her latest single, 'Automatic' from her upcoming album, 'Platinum.'

The songstress got the audience on their feet as she sang the nostalgic tune, while old pictures flashed behind her. Dressed simply in jeans and sparkly boots, Lambert did what she does best -- delivered a song with powerful lyrics with believable conviction.

"‘Automatic’ is a song about the good life,” Lambert explains of the song, which she co-wrote with Natalie Hemby and Nicolle Galyon. “It’s about slowing down, taking a breath and remembering what it’s like to live life a little more simply. It’s not about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like to hang laundry on the line and wait for it to dry and my dad teaching me how to drive my ’55 Chevy that I still have but don’t drive nearly enough.”

Lambert began the evening with seven nominations, including the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. Earlier in the night, she won the ACM for Single of the Year for 'Mama's Broken Heart.'
