Luke Bryan's apologies for his comments about outlaw country artists didn't stop with his phone call to the family of Waylon Jennings. One of Merle Haggard's family members has revealed that he, too, received a personal call from Bryan.

Ben Haggard, Merle Haggard's son and guitar player, shared on Instagram that Bryan reached out to him with an apology.

"I have never spoke to Luke in my life, but one thing was for sure: the sincerity in his voice," Ben Haggard writes. "Let's all remember (including myself), were [sic] all humans, we all make mistakes and say things we wished we hadn't."

Waylon Jennings' son Shooter Jennings earlier revealed that the "Kick the Dust Up" hitmaker reached out to Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings' mother and Waylon Jennings' widow "to clarify that he would never disrespect my dad or me or any of us." The younger Jennings says there are no hard feelings -- “I misfired and said some things in the past about people," he says. "And I didn’t have the guts to apologize." -- and that Bryan also asked for a way to contact Kathy Pinkerman Jennings, Waylon Jennings' daughter-in-law who aired her grievances against Bryan on her Facebook page.

The younger Haggard does not mention in his Instagram post if Bryan had also reached out or would be reaching out to Merle Haggard himself or any other family members. Neither Haggard nor Willie Nelson, who was also mentioned in Bryan's comments, nor any of Nelson's family members, has publicly commented about the the singer's remarks.
