Maxim Hot 100 List Includes Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler
Los Angeles and New York City have nothing on Nashville when it comes to beautiful celebrity women! Three Music City bombshells have made Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list for 2012: Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler and Julianne Hough.
The “Ours” singer leads the pack of country stars, coming in at No. 26. Julianne sneaks in under the Top 50, at No. 47, while Kellie landed at No. 72.
This marks the fifth year in a row for both Taylor and Julianne to appear on Maxim’s Hot 100 list. They also earned a slot on Maxim’s Hottest Women of Country, coming in at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. While Taylor is thrilled to be noticed, she admits she looks to others for fashion and beauty inspiration — including a few fellow country celebs.
Taylor’s former tourmate and fellow Maxim hottie Kellie Pickler says she’s finally comfortable in her own skin after going through a rough time a few years ago. After reading a horribly critical concert review that concentrated on her weight over her music, she slimmed down — but not, she insists, through drastic dieting or exercise.
“A lot of it is that I’m happy now,” the blond beauty tells The Boot. “I was not happy for a long time, for personal reasons. I would sit on my bus and eat all night. I wasn’t active at all, I never went outside. I was just not in a good place. And, one of my best friends was on tour with me for eight months of her pregnancy. So every time she ate, I ate. And I gained 35 or 40 pounds. Then she had the baby and lost the weight, but I didn’t have a baby! [laughs] I was just fat! You’re not happy like that, and you feel sluggish.
“It’s hard on the road, because sometimes there’s nothing but fast food,” Kellie continues. “But my eating is different now. I’m a vegetarian, I don’t drink soft drinks and I’m very active. I’m not a gym person, and I’d never pay somebody to train me. I know what I need to do: get off my ass! I’ve finally gotten to that point, and I can fit into my old clothes again. I love that.”
