Mary Chapin Carpenter Plans Spring Acoustic Tour

Mary Chapin Carpenter is getting ready to head out on a 2015 acoustic tour, which also includes select dates with a full orchestra.

Carpenter will hit the road in early March for three orchestral performances -- her debut orchestral record, 'Songs From the Movie,' was released last year -- in Newport News, Va., Charlotte, N.C., and Kansas City, Mo.

On March 26, she will begin the acoustic leg of her tour in New Orleans, La., with special guests Aoife O’Donovan and Lunasa performing with her at separate shows. A complete list of dates can be found below, although more shows are to be announced.

Carpenter co-produced 'Songs From the Movie' with Matt Rollings and six-time Grammy winner Vince Mendoza, who also arranged and conducted the release. The project is Carpenter's 13th album. Over the course of her career, the singer has received five Grammys (out of 15 nominations), two CMA Awards and two ACM Awards.
