Marty Stuart recently hit the stage of the 'Late Show With David Letterman' for a performance of his song 'Streamline.'

The tune comes off of Stuart's gospel album 'Saturday Night / Sunday Morning,' which was released at the end of 2014. The album explores the meeting of Saturday night's country music at the local honky-tonk and Sunday morning's church service. Stuart has been experimenting with the mixture of styles since he came to Nashville and joined Lester Flatt's band at just 13 years old.

"Being endorsed by Lester Flatt as 'that kid in Lester's band [who] can actually play' ... His seal of approval ... gave me instant credibility," Stuart tells Rolling Stone Country. "They cast long shadows, but they all were kind to me, every single one of them. They raised me as a kid coming into the tribe that they saw something in, so they invested in me, and I took that very seriously."

Stuart was joined in the 'Letterman' performance by guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson and upright bass player Paul Martin. Check out their performance in the video above.

'Saturday Night / Sunday Morning' is available on iTunes and Amazon.
