Martina McBride is borrowing a song, as well as a vocal partner, from pop-rock group Train for her latest single. The Kansas native's new tune, 'Marry Me,' was previously a Top 5 hit for the band, who loaned their lead singer, Pat Monahan, to perform the song with the powerhouse vocalist.

"It's just Pat singing this beautiful song, so we sang it as duet, and when we'd finished rehearsing it, we both looked at each other and said 'Wow, that really works! That's really cool as a duet!'" Martina shares with GAC. "So when I went in to make the album I asked if I could record that song and he would come and sing on it, so he came to Atlanta where we were recording and we sang it in the same room."

The pair previously partnered on that song, as well as several others, for a 2010 taping of 'CMT Crossroads,' which quickly made them mutual fans. "When Martina sang Train songs, I was like, 'Damn, I wish she was there when we were making the record,'" Pat recalled to CMT.

Martina also has high praise for her duet partner. "He's one of my very favorite singers in the world," she gushes. "He's so soulful and such a great singer, so it was a magical day when we recorded that song."

'Marry Me' is the third single from Martina's 'Eleven' album. Fresh off her tour with George Strait, the songstress will play several shows in the next few months, including shows in Florida, North Carolina and Texas. See her complete concert schedule here.
