Martina McBride is spreading holiday cheer all over the country. The singer is currently on her second Joy of Christmas tour, which she says is one of the highlights of her entire year.

“It’s a really great show, and it’s fun for us to do,” she explains to Nashville's Tennessean. “We did rehearsals … and it was like we never stopped. We just fell back into it. We all just enjoy it so much, we look forward to it all year.”

The songstress, who played at the famous Ryman Auditorium in her hometown of Nashville Wedesday night (Dec. 4), looks forward to being back home with her family by Christmas day.

“We have a pretty normal Christmas,” McBride says. “I still have an 8-year-old, so there’s a lot of excitement and waiting for Santa Claus.”

The 47-year-old makes a big breakfast for her family, and then they share a large meal around 4PM. “We just kind of chill at the house all day,” she explains. “We just kind of are together. We don’t do much. We just take it easy.”

McBride's Joy of Christmas tour will head to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa before the tour wraps on Dec. 21. See all of her upcoming shows here.
