It's almost time for Maddie & Tae to release their debut full-length album, Start Here, and The Boot's readers are clearly excited to hear it.

Maddie & Tae's upcoming record has been voted Album of the Month for August of 2015, beating out new releases by, among others, Luke BryanPat Green and Kip Moore. The duo earned nearly 52 percent of votes in the Album of the Month poll.

Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye (who are just 20 and 19 years old, respectively) made a splash last summer when they released their debut single, "Girl in a Country Song," and its humorous music video. The young women released their debut EP in November, and the tune hit No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in December, making Maddie & Tae the first female act to earn that spot in more than two years and the first female duo to break into that chart's Top 10 since 2007.

On Start Here, Maddie & Tae will share their EP's four songs -- including "Girl in a Country Song" and their second single, "Fly" -- plus seven additional tracks. Those tunes include the album's title track and "Downside of Growing Up," the latter of which Marlow says is her personal favorite.

“We poured our whole hearts into Start Here, and I cannot wait to just show our fans the whole Maddie & Tae spiel,” Marlow says. “Songs that cover all different topics.”

Marlow and Dye aren't afraid of getting a little vulnerable during the songwriting process either.

"Basically, songwriting is free therapy, and that’s what’s fun about it," Dye says. "You can put all your emotions out into a song, and then when you’re performing out on a stage and you see your fans’ reactions to it, that’s the most humbling part of it all.”

Award-winning producer Dann Huff produced Start Here, which is being released on the Big Machine Label Group's Dot Records.

“Our first album means so much to us, and we wanted to get it right, to get it just the way we heard all these songs,” Marlow says. “Dann Huff is amazing and so patient.”

Start Here was originally scheduled for release on June 2 but was pushed back to Aug. 28 to get everything, from the songs to the album artwork, 100-percent perfect.

"Our team got a little too anxious thinking we could make the [original] release date," Marlow explains, "and the only way we could get it exactly the way we wanted was to push it back.”

The album is available for pre-order via iTunes. In October, Maddie & Tae — who are currently opening for Dierks Bentley on his 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour — will embark on their own headlining club tour in support of their new project.
