Lynyrd Skynyrd gave AXS TV's 'Countdown to Stagecoach' an exclusive interview at the 2014 Stagecoach Festival, and readers of The Boot are getting the first look at the footage.

The festival kicked off Friday night (April 25) in Indio, Calif., with performances by Skynyrd, Eric Paslay, Thomas Rhett, ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actress Katey Sagal & the Forest Rangers, Brantley Gilbert, Shakey Graves, Shelby Lynne, Easton Corbin and Eric Church.

Acts for Saturday night include Jason Aldean, Hunter Hayes, Jennifer Nettles, Season 4 winner of ‘The Voice’ Danielle Bradbery, Don McLean, Tyler Farr, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jason Isbell and Ashley Monroe.

The festival coverage wraps up on Sunday, April 27, with performances by Lee Brice, Dustin Lynch, Florida Georgia Line, Shovels & Rope and John Prine.

For the first time, AXS TV is airing the 30-minute ‘Countdown to Stagecoach’ pre-show segment on all three nights, hosted by Ashley Eicher. Each segment includes a behind-the-scenes look at some of the artists and activities.

In the exclusive preview above, the members of Skynyrd discuss the differences between playing a country music festival and a rock festival, their continuing influence in rock and country and more.
