Like many Americans, Luke Bryan's Thanksgiving will involve football. But rather than watching the games on TV, the country superstar will be performing during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers Thanksgiving Day game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Bryan's performance will help celebrate the 19th year that the Cowboys have partnered with the Salvation Army to help launch the non-profit organization's Red Kettle Campaign. Every year during the holiday season, the fundraising event earns millions of dollars to help provide meals and shelter for families; Christmas toys for children; and other year-round social services. In 2014, the Red Kettle Campaign raised $144.7 million, and since partnering with the Dallas Cowboys in 1997, the campaign has raised more than $2 billion.

“As a football fan, I’m especially excited to be performing on Thanksgiving Day,” Bryan says in a press release. “It’s also an honor to spotlight two great organizations like [the] Dallas Cowboys and the Salvation Army and raise awareness for all the great work they do.”

Adds Charlotte Jones Anderson, Dallas Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer and former Salvation Army national advisory chairperson, "Luke Bryan is one of the biggest names in country music, but he has an incredibly humble spirit and is always searching for ways to give back and help others. For us, it was a perfect fit for what the Red Kettle kickoff represents for our partnership with The Salvation Army."

Bryan recently announced his 2016 Kill the Lights Tour, which will begin in mid-February and also feature Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch. He's spent the last few months on the road on his 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour and 2015 Farm Tour.
