Luke Bryan's latest album, 'Crash My Party,' debuted at No. 1 when it was released in 2013, selling more than one million copies only six weeks after its release date. But if the Georgia native has any nerves about following that success with a new album, he isn't letting it show. Bryan says he's hard at work on a new record, which might sound a bit different than his earlier projects.

"I have a backbone and a core group [of writers] that I really depend on, but I tell you what: It’s fun when I get an email of a song and I don’t know these writers on it," Bryan tells Radio.com. "I’ll ask my producer, 'Who is this kid?' And, you know, there’s some 25-year-old kid that’s coming to town with all these fresh ideas. With me, I’m like, 'Get that rascal out on the bus. Let me tap into his little reservoir.'"

The Georgia native co-wrote eight songs on his 2011 'Tailgates & Tanlines' record, including the mega-hit 'Country Girl (Shake It for Me),' but only one tune, 'I See You,' on 'Crash My Party,' and says he doesn't know how many he'll write for the new record.

"I love hearing a great song just as much as writing one," Bryan maintains. "At the end of the day, I love having the ability to expedite the song getting written and then getting it in front of the fans and watching them react."

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year has had a busy 2014, indeed. His That's My Kind of Night Tour has taken him all over the country, selling out stadiums and venues from coast to coast. But while he hasn't had much time off, Bryan says the upcoming album is at the front of his mind.

"The past two months, [we've been] really ramping up the writing, really starting to think about ideas and what I want to say. We’re all up in the middle of it," he reveals. "We’re getting ready to go in and cut a few songs and see what we've got. I’m very excited about the process and getting the next album going."

All four singles from 'Crash My Party,' including his most recent, 'Roller Coaster,' landed at the top of the charts. Download the album here.
