Luke Bryan is getting plenty of time on the small screen. The singer performed for ABC's 'Good Morning America' Friday (Aug. 8), as part of their Summer Concert Series. In addition, Bryan shot a cameo for the TV drama 'Nashville,' which will also feature GMA newscaster Amy Robach and series star Connie Britton.

Bryan performed his new single, 'Roller Coaster,' from his No.1, multi-platinum 'Crash My Party' album, along with some of his other hits.

"The second I heard ['Roller Coaster'], I just thought, 'Man, I gotta record this thing,'" the singer tells CMT of the song, which was written by his guitar player, Michael Carter, along with Cole Swindell. "It had all the perfect attributes to a great single."

Bryan isn't the only country star to appear as himself on the hit TV series. Other artists who have made cameos include Brad Paisley, Kip Moore, Rascal Flatts, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert.

'Nashville' started filming in Music City last month, after the show considered moving out of Tennessee due to budgetary restrictions. The third season of 'Nashville' will premiere on Sept. 24 at 10PM ET on ABC. Bryan's episode of 'Nashville' will air on Oct. 1.
