Luke Bryan clearly has plenty of fans in New York City.

The 'Drink a Beer' singer sold out his upcoming Jan. 25 show at Madison Square Garden in only five minutes, prompting him to add a second MSG show to his itinerary. But, due to the already packed schedule of his That's My Kind of Night Tour, Bryan won't return to the Big Apple until Sept. 12,  eight months after his original performance in the 18,200 seat venue.

The 37-year-old, who sold out every show on his recently-wrapped Dirt Road Diaries Tour, admits he took a few chances with the songs on his latest album, 'Crash My Party,' but apparently those risks are already paying off..

“I’m kind of at a point in my career where I can get away with traditional stuff, and then get away with some more rocky and pop and edgier stuff too," he tells The Boot. “I want to be on the cutting edge."

Bryan beat out his former tour boss, Jason Aldean, who sold out his own Madison Square concert earlier this year in 10 minutes.

Tickets for the Sept. 12 show will go on sale on Nov. 16 at 10AM ET here.

Bryan's That's My Kind of Night Tour kicks off on Jan. 16 on Columbus, Ohio. See his complete concert schedule here.
