Luke Bryan has landed on top yet again. The singer's fifth studio album, Kill the Lights, debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Top 200.

Kill the Lights sold 320,063 albums and 345,211 equivalent album units (traditional album sales, track equivalent sales and streaming equivalent albums combined). It is only the second country album to sell more than 100,000 copies in its debut week this year -- the other is the Zac Brown Band's Jekyll + Hyde -- and this year's third-largest album debut among all genres, next to Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

With Kill the Lights, Bryan has earned his third consecutive No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and his sixth No. 1 album overall on the Top Country Albums chart. The record's No. 1 debut on the Top 200 marks the highest debut for a country album on that chart since Bryan's own Crash My Party debuted at No. 1 in 2013.

Bryan says that although Kill the Lights might push the boundaries of what some consider country music, he's only following the example of some of his own musical heroes.

“When I was a kid, and you hear Conway [Twitty], and Ronnie Milsap and Randy Owen and Alabama — how those guys pushed the needle of their style of music,” Bryan tells Taste of Country. “Obviously, when I was a kid, I didn’t understand how they were stepping out there on their own until, later, you learn how they were criticized. Conway was beat up pretty good about being a pop artist.”

Kill the Lights' debut single, "Kick the Dust Up," has also landed at the top of the charts, making it Bryan's 10th consecutive chart-topping single and 13th overall.

"We recorded a lot of songs, and that one stood the test of time," Bryan tells USA Today. "We decided it was worth kicking the album off to. It's a big, anthemic sing-a-long, so it should be pretty fun."

Bryan is currently out on his 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour, with Randy Houser and Dustin Lynch serving as his opening acts, and Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett joining him for his stadium dates. A list of all of his shows is available on his website.
