Luke Bryan will be lighting up the stage at the 2015 American Music Awards -- but he won't be alone: Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild will be joining the country superstar during his performance at the awards show.

Bryan and Fairchild will be performing "Home Alone Tonight," their duet from Bryan's newest album, Kill the LightsThe mid-tempo ballad is the first male-female duet of Bryan's career.

“We had always certainly entertained the right collaboration under the right circumstances,” he says, “but it’s always about the right song, and we’ve never really found the song that necessarily did what we wanted it to do.”

Although Bryan and Fairchild actually recorded their parts separately, the song sounds like a conversation, with alternating parts almost every other line.

“It feels too good to let it end right here / I ain’t going home alone tonight / So let’s not let it end, let it end right here / Girl, you’re going home with me / So let’s go,” the two country stars sing in the tune.

Bryan is the only country artist vying for a win in the all-genre Artist of the Year category at the 2015 AMAs. He also received a nomination for Favorite Male Country Artist.

The 2015 American Music Awards will air live on ABC from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Nov. 22. Carrie Underwood is also among the artists set to perform during the show, and Jennifer Lopez will host the event.
